Trip Interruption and Disruption Cover Option Explained:
Missed departure, connection, and transport diversion:
By selecting the High Risk Voyager Travel Insurance trip interruption and disruption option and payment of the appropriate additional premium, you are covered for additional travel and accommodation costs, due to arriving late at the departure point to board the public transport you have booked.
Travel Delay:
The trip interruption and disruption coverage add-on covers the expenses incurred for overnight accommodation and food, if your outward journey and following journeys for the trip are delayed for more than 12 hours.
Travel Abandonment:
By selecting our trip interruption and disruption option to your policy will cover the cost of your trip to a high-risk destination if the departure is delayed for more than 24 hours, and you decide to abandon your trip.
Alteration of Itinerary:
With the trip interruption and disruption option, additional expenses from a change in your pre-booked travel arrangements, due to being the victim of a hi-jack, kidnap, terrorist activity, or criminal act, or due to a cancellation of a public transport services caused by an insured reason during your trip.
